At my residence, I have two *shogi* (folding stools), one of which has torn fabric and requires repair. Due to a perpetual shortage of *shogi*, I decided to purchase an additional one.
Generally, this type of stool can be written as 床几 or 床机 in Japanese, but in the Tenshin-ryu tradition, the term 将几 is used.
In Tenshin-ryu, the category of techniques and training methods performed while seated on this *shogi* are referred to as *Ibaku* and *Shō no Kurai*.
